Dig Days are a great, laid back way to get your hands dirty at a unique mid-16th century archaeological site. Interested in archaeology, Native Americans, the Spanish colonial world, or cultural contact? Join us for our public archaeology dig opportunities this fall at the Berry Site. Slots are open to interested members of the public of all skill levels. Registration closes at noon on the day before. You will receive an email on Thursday afternoon before your field day containing directions, info, and tips for the ultimate Dig Day experience. We look forward to seeing you in the field!
Under 18 years old? Please contact us first for approval. Youth participants 16 and over may dig unaccompanied. Youth between 10 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must first approved by the EJF/Warren Wilson College team. This experience is not recommended for most youth under 10 years old. Please contact us for more details.
Please register here in advance, then download the accompanying form to complete and email, mail, or bring with you on the day. An information email will go out to all participants on the Wednesday before your scheduled Dig Day.
